We've recently helped Retro Ford magazine with a buying guide for the Anglia saloon so we thought it was time we added a buying guide to the site to give people.

Introduction

When thinking about buying an Anglia there are several things to think about before taking the plunge.

The first thing to think about is what you ultimately want to do with the car.

If you want to modify the car then look into whats involved in carrying out the modifications before spending your money. We've seen from posts on the 105Speed forum over the last 4 years there are people who have bought an Anglia with the intention of lowering the car

The key thing to remember is always buy the best you can afford.

Ford Anglia 105e/123e Saloon

Mint    £4000-5500

Good   £2000-3500

Fair     £1000-2000

Poor   £ 250-1000

Ford Anglia 307e/309e Van

Mint    £4500-7000

Good   £3000-4500

Fair     £1500-2500

Poor    £ 250-1500

Ford Anglia Estate

The Estate Values are typically 15% lower than the Anglia saloon

Modified cars

These must be taken on their individual merit and attention must be paid to the condition of the shell, the modifications carried out and the parts fitted.
